What to do with an Abalone Sea Shell...?
Abalone shells are beautiful! But they're too heavy (and too large) to make a necklace out of, they're not ideal for making into a sea shell bra (because I know you've thought about it too!), and using them as a dish to hold nik-naks only hides their gorgeous insides. So what can you do with them?
I was faced with that dilemma when I ended up spontaneously adopting one from the crafting store over the Summer. I don't know what compelled me to transform it into a wind chime, but I really like how the end result turned out! The chiming noise it makes is so pretty and the design really allows the natural beauty of the shell to shine.
