Summer is but a warm, sunny memory

Good times with good company
Autumn has been in full swing for a while now, but I can't help thinking back to this past Summer every now and again. While the season of Fall is certainly my favorite of them all (unintentional rhyme :o ), last Summer was so full of wonderful memories that I keep finding myself drifting back to it.
I miss mermaiding in the crystal clear lakes, collecting stones on the sunny shores with my family, and watching the sun set over the horizon with good (and sometimes sassy! ;D) company. I'm sure you other mers know the feeling! For this "Mermaid Monday," I would like to take you back in time to a lazy summer evening spent at Van's Beach, in Leland, Michigan.
At the start of our trip, the sun was still pretty high up in the sky, though it was slowly creeping closer to the water.
Before mom and I packed up to go home, we got to witness the hot orange Summer sun sink below the horizon. It was a brilliant sight to see!
It was a very windy day, and I wasn't using my tripod, so the video turned out a bit shaky (though I think that only makes it feel more like you're there). My mom and I drove all the way out to Leland that day to enjoy some time together and ended up witnessing a gorgeous sunset. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day in beautiful Northern Michigan. And there were many, many more wonderful days that followed! :)
But Summer is over now and Autumn is here (and it is fabulous!). There are more memories to be made, and more good times ahead.
