Flower Knows: Shell’s Jewel Collection
Flower Knows recently launched a new makeup collection called the Shell’s Jewel. Each piece in this collection has sea-themed designs that fit the mermaid aesthetic perfectly. I’m a professional mermaid, so can I legally say “no” to mermaid-themed makeup? No, no. I don’t think that’s allowed! ;)
Since I did promise my YouTube subscribers a new QnA video, I decided it would be fun to answer some questions about professional mermaid life while also unboxing my new makeup from Flower Knows. It’s a bit of a lengthy and awkward video, but hopefully you’ll find it entertaining.
Professional Mermaid QnA + Makeup Unboxing
The Magic Crafter mermaid spends time unboxing her new makeup haul from the Flower Knows Shell’s Jewel collection. While the makeup is being unboxed, this professional mermaid answers some frequently asked questions about being a professional mermaid and about her personal life.
What I bought from Flower Knows (photos)
If you don’t feel like watching the QnA / unboxing video but do want to see the makeup that I got from Flower Knows, you can click here to see a short aesthetic video of the makeup, or you can keep scrolling to look at some photos I edited of the makeup I got But keep in mind, but the aesthetic video and these photos have been edited to have a blue-ish underwater glow, so you’ll want to watch the unboxing video OR click here to go to the Flower Know’s website directly (the link is an affiliate link).

Mermaid Blush & Setting Powder
Let’s start with two of the prettiest products from this makeup haul- the Cloudy Blue Baked Powder and the Luna Pearl Silk Satin Blush.
The baked powder comes in a beautiful wave pattern that looks a bit like a fancy wedding cake… but for mermaids? It’s really nice to look at! The product itself is a setting powder that helps reduce shine and reduce the appearance of pores. However, I don’t use setting powder on my face anymore and prefer to use it to set my eyeshadow primer, so that’s what I’ll be using it for! The powder also comes in “Dreamy Pink,” if pink is more your thing!
You can’t tell from looking at my photo (sorry), but there is an imprint in the marbled blue-and-white translucent setting powder that says “Flower Knows” in a beautiful script.
The Luna Pearl Silk Satin Blush (which is also a highlighter) comes in an ethereal mermaid-themed containter, with the outside of the blush’s container looking like a shell made of gemstones! I’ll be honest, I bought this blush because I am almost out of blush. However, the most exciting part of this blush IN MY OPINION is the container. Again, I’m a professional mermaid. I tell children that I have a Shell Phone. This container will make a perfect “shellphone” once I use up all of the blush. Weird, I know. But professional mermaid life tends to be a little… different.
This creamy blush comes in five different tones, all of which come with an ornate imprint that will make you feel awful about actually using the makeup. :’)
Mermaid Eyeshadow & Lipgloss
And now, let me show you the eyeshadow and lip gloss that I got from my latest Flower Knows haul. Since I don’t normally go with vibrant “tropical” colored eyeshadow, I didn’t end up getting their Mermaid Tears palette. However, I did buy two of their other eyeshadow palettes from the Shell’s Jewel collection, since they’ll fit in perfectly with some future makeup tutorials I have planned. I got the Moonlight Pearl eyeshadow palette, and the Deep Sea eyeshadow palette.
The lipgloss is isn’t as exciting- it’s just pretty shiny lip gloss that tastes like a green apple candy… so I’ll show you the containers, but that’s about it.
The cool-toned palette is the Deep Sea palette, and the eyeshadow with the pinks, browns and creams is the Moonlight Pearl palette. Both come with a mix of shimmery and matte colors, and both have lovely ocean-themed imprints on the makeup itself. I use Flower Knows eyeshadow almost exclusively because of how well it blends and because of how richly pigmented it is, so I know these will be excellent.

I don’t remember the names of the lip glosses that I purchased, so you’ll have to pick one that you think will suit you! The lipgloss goes on nicely and tastes a bit like sour apple candy (in a good way). Overall, it is nice… but not quite as exciting as the other makeup in the collection. ;)
Please stay tuned for some new waterproof mermaid makeup tutorials in the future. They will absolutely be featuring some of this new makeup. HOWEVER… first I need to finish filming footage of the makeup itself, since I don’t want to ruin the imprints on the makeup before I collect all of the b-roll I need! I will link an old makeup tutorial for you though, that way you can have some mermaid makeup inspiration. :)
